Artec QDD2 Quadra Distortion Driver Effects Board

This is the Artec QDD2 Quadra Distortion Driver board, a great little component that allows you to add great distortion effects directly to your guitar or amplifier, including cigar box guitars and amps! This board has a 5-position selector pot built in, with "true bypass" and then four levels of distortion effects. This circuit has been built to simulate classic "overdrive"-style tones, and it is like having four of the best known overdrive pedal and tube amp tones built right into your guitar or amp! This board is powered by a 9-volt battery, and the battery connector is included (though the battery is not!). An onboard trim pot allows you to adjust the gain - you can even pop this off and wire in a panel-mount gain pot if you want for even more control! Please see the board diagram and wiring diagram photos for an idea of how to wire up this board. We include a 2-page guide with each of these boards to help you get going on getting it wired up. Please note that if you are building this board into an amplifier, it should go BEFORE the amp circuit, as shown in the wiring diagram. These work fine with our Artec SDA-T amp boards, but you should be aware that in our testing Position 5/Heavy Metal on this board is just too much for the SDA-T amp board and isn't really usable. However, the other 3 effects sound great! Also note that in our testing, trying to use the same 9-volt battery for both this board and the SDA-T board yielded feedback and other noise, so we recommend having two separate batteries for the two boards.
